Parish Religious Education Programs

St. Bernadette Parish offers a religious education program for students in grades one through ten and is in session from September through May.
Families of students attending St. Bernadette religious education program must be registered with St. Bernadette Parish and attending Mass regularly. Parish registration cards are available in the rectory office.
Registration for children entering First Grade is held May 1st through May 31st. Registration for NEW students is held August 1st through August 31st. There will be no registration the first day of classes. New families during the academic year should call 467-8763 to register.
A certificate of Baptism is required at the time of registration if your child was not baptized at St. Bernadette Church.
To enter the First Communion Program, students must have completed Grades One and Two. Students in Grade Three will be prepared for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist.
We offer a three
part Confirmation Program: class attendance, Mass attendance, and community
service. Each part is as important as the other. Students who have completed
Grade Seven and Grade Eight and have met all their requirements may register to
attend Confirmation classes for the preparation for the Sacrament of
Confirmation. The Sacrament of Confirmation is received in Grade Ten and up.
If indicated by
enrollment and family interest, we provide an alternative Jr. High program that
includes one week of classes during the summer, one class a month during the
academic year and regular weekly Mass attendance.
In addition to age-appropriate classroom curriculum, students participate in youth liturgies, retreats, Living Stations of the Cross, the Rosary, para liturgies, and community- related service activities.
